my good friend sophia @phaddy​ and i are hosting the phandom games: shitpost edition! the contest will take place in two weeks, and signups are open now! you better be quick though; there are only FOURTEEN spots left! 

so you’re confused. can’t blame you there. let me explain! if you haven’t heard of the phandom games, you should have, and you should definitely join. (you definitely haven’t been on my blog long if you haven’t) it’s a competition where teams compete in categories like edits, art, writing, truth or dare, and many more! 

now, to our event. it’s just like that, but nothing but shitposts. we’ll give you one shitpost prompt a round and you have to work together with the other four people on your team to translate that into the six categories we have in this particular competition: hunt, edits/image memes, textpost memes, vines (<6 sec video memes), art, and (crack fic) writing. there will be three rounds, and the bottom three teams after each round will be eliminated.  the first round starts on october 27, second on october 29, and third on october 31st. after the third round, the last standing team is declared the winner!(but wait! there’s more! but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.)

so i was scrolling my recommendeds and came across dan and tyler playing cards against humanity and i love that video so i rewatched it and i didn’t even realize until now how much dan has grown in the last four years??? like all due respect i love old dan and i love that video but he didn’t even seem like the same person we know as dan today. they sat there making constant dick jokes and honestly acting like me and my dumb teenager friends and saying things like “we’re definitely going to hell” and acting like A Couple Bros and just being so?? negative?? towards themselves?? and i feel like dan’s just changed and grown so much as a person since then?? i 2014 dan and he’s hilarious but 2018 dan is just so much more mature and has grown into a better person who recognizes self love and personality and is so much more comfortable in every way with who he is and the aesthetic he loves, and you can just tell how the change has made him such a happier person, and i’m so proud of him for that. he not only loves himself more but is now an advocate for mental health and OTHER people loving themselves and it legitimately just blew my mind how much he’s changed and how incredible it’s made him as a person… i don’t care how many rounds of cards against humanity he’s played; 2018 dan howell would not be going to hell, nor would he say something like that about himself, and it just makes me smile.

tldr; although he was incredible from the beginning, dan howell has grown and matured as a person so much over the last four years that it blows my mind and i’m so proud of him 

i’m less concerned by the fact that phil typed “hyped for fish sex” than i am that dan immediately understood him and seemed excited for him
