I knew people were hoping for a coming out video. I knew they wouldn’t be happy when the Internet Support Group video came out. But I did NOT expect people to yell at Dan about it!

Personally, I’m a fan of the Internet Support Group series. I definitely would have rather had a coming out video, or a kink video, or something more along those lines, but that does NOT give ANY OF US the right to complain about it, ESPECIALLY TO DAN SPECIFICALLY! 

He also said in his last liveshow, THIS IS NOT THE CHEEKY VIDEO. THE CHEEKY VIDEO IS NEXT. HE DECIDED TO DO THE INTERNET SUPPORT GROUP FIRST. WHY? BECAUSE HE’S HAD A ROUGH WEEK AND THOUGHT IT WOULD MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER. BUT INSTEAD WE MADE HIM FEEL WORSE. 

If you really want him to come out, maybe you should NOT PRESSURE HIM TO COME OUT. It’s like a kindergarten class. If you don’t stop asking the teacher to let you do something, THEY’RE NEVER GOING TO LET YOU DO IT. If you don’t stop asking Dan to come out, HE’S NEVER GOING TO DO IT. That is, if he even is anything other than straight! I’m not even going to make any assumptions here. This honestly reminds me too much of the 2012 Phandom. I wasn’t around then, but from what I’ve seen, it was just like this. The Phandom was constantly prying into their lives just as we are now. 

HOWEVER, despite the similarities in the Phandom’s behavior in the two years, I think Dan has changed. He’s learned to ignore us doing stupid things like this. Despite this, Dan has had a rough week. He said it himself in his last liveshow. He doesn’t need us making it worse! 

As to the people who are posting on the Twitter hashtag #thankyoudanfor and just promoting Dan in general, I applaud you. Because he truly deserves it. As to him calling himself a disappointment, I think it’s just his dark sense of humor showing. I do, however, think that this has pissed him off almost as much as it has the rest of us, as he’s had a rough week and I think this just put it over the top. But I think his self-bashing tweets, while possibly having a bit of anger put into them, are mostly just his way of coping with things like this. I don’t think he really thinks he’s a disappointment. He’s said it himself. We’re all taking him too seriously. And I think that includes him. 

BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT OKAY TO SEND INSULTS AND ANGER AT HIM ABOUT WHAT VIDEO HE DECIDED TO UPLOAD. I understand some of you are just joking. But that’s not always obvious. And don’t joke at Dan. If you need to be mad, be mad with your friends. Don’t yell at Dan himself. Okay? Okay.
